Carnegie goes live

Mertex now live at innovative US fabric company

New York-based Carnegie is now firmly in the Mertex family with the software implemented and live.

The leading US company has a continuous approach to product design with a focus on creating the products of tomorrow and Mertex was selected to support its ambitions.

The company’s textile products, which are used in commercial settings for walls, windows and upholstery, include its Xorel Artform acoustic panelling and beautiful, ‘easy-clean’ robust fabrics for healthier public spaces.

Previously relying on a system that was developed in-house, Carnegie needed a specialist solution to match its growth plans. With Mertex enabling management of every aspect of a textiles company’s day-to-day business, it was the natural choice when making the decision to overhaul its IT.

Jeremy Alcock, managing director at Reflex Data said that Carnegie was particularly impressed with Mertex’s ability to deliver detailed analysis quickly.

“With Mertex, they can identify emerging trends, monitor and compare sales by customer, product and location with a few clicks, although the functionality was not the only reason for their decision. They felt it was vitally important to choose a partner they could work well with as this is for the long term.”

The UK Reflex Data team have made a number of fruitful visits to Carnegie during the implementation period which has been supported by remote working, and the growing presence of Reflex Data in the US demonstrates that the distance is not a barrier.

With around 75 users of the software, Carnegie is utilising all of the Mertex modules, from sales order processing, warehouse and inventory management, financial accounting and business intelligence.

Jeremy added: “Carnegie’s homegrown design team and a commitment to transparency, innovation, quality and sustainability makes them a model for others to aspire to.”
